It was the party that didn’t want to end. Cable friends and family celebrated the Cable TV Pioneers 50th Anniversary at its banquet at the Fairmont Hotel in Boston, MA. The evening kicked-off with MCN reporter and Pioneers’ friend, Tom Umstead interviewing members on their favorite memories, happenings and hopes for the future of the industry. Photo sessions captured Pioneers from across the decades for a memorable photo history.
The Boston Fife and Drum Bugle Corp. led the 450+ Pioneers and their guests to a memorable, funny and touching night hosted by Pioneer Chairman, Susan Bitter Smith, Dinner Chair, Ben W. Hooks, Jr. and Executive Director Emeritus, Les Read. The 50th Anniversary marked the induction of 14 Pioneers.
